CAMILLE CAMP
Camille is a 28 years old and a fourth-generation stockwoman. Her family own and operate Kalyeeda Station, which is located in the remote Kimberley region of Western Australia. Their closest town is Derby which is a 3-hour drive.
For the past 2 years she has worked as Head Stockwoman on Kalyeeda, working alongside her Father (Station Owner) and brother (Station Manager). They run a herd of 9000 Droughtmaster x Brahman cattle with our main market being live export to Indonesia and Vietnam via the Port of Broome.
In 2017 she began posting photos on Instagram of life on Kalyeeda and the work they do out there – selfies after a day in the cattle yards, mustering snaps and sunset beers with the stockcamp crew – two years later and she now have a following of 21k on Instagram, something she never imagined would happen!
Through her Instagram page, she strives to portray all aspects of our industry and the animal welfare standards which they adhere to. She is keen advocate for bridging the gap between city and country through education, knowledge and honesty. For Camille, it’s about being transparent, and she always tries to show the good and bad of life on a cattle station.
