CALLAN DALEY
Callan Daley is a passionate advocate for improving the visual and verbal perception of agriculture, stemming from an upbringing on a beef station in central Queensland, 100km North-West of Longreach. He attended boarding school in Brisbane before taking a gap year on a crop and cattle station outside of Goondiwindi which reignited his interest and passion for agriculture. He went on to study a dual degree in engineering and biotechnology for 18 months before deferring.
He attended EvokeAG in early 2019 as a Future Young Leader before starting as a Field Technician for an Adelaide based AgriFood Technology company utilising machine learning and nanoscale biophotonics to predict red meat eating quality. Now Callan is very passionate about raising awareness of the detrimental effect that negative stereotypical imaging and language can have on the Agricultural sector and what we can do to fix the problem ourselves.
