KATE McBRIDE
As a fifth-generation farmer, there is no surprise from a very young age, and Kate has had a great interest in all things agriculture.
She is currently completing a Bachelor of Commerce degree at the University of Adelaide as well as being a Healthy River Ambassador. Kate has strong views when it comes to water management and has done talks to schools and community events regarding the Darling River.
In 2017 Kate was elected by fellow landholders onto the Western Local Land Services (LLS) Board and is now the youngest board member since the organisation began. Since then Kate has also become chair of the Western Regional Weeds Committee.
Recently Kat Also appeared on Q & A talking about the drought among national leaders and Politicians.
We had an amazing chat about most of the areas mentioned and it was great to such an honest and authentic opinion on what is going on in the Agricultural space, particularly with the Darling River.
